Number range
This random number wheel picks a number for you with a spinning wheel. It starts with the numbers 1 to 10. You can switch to 1 to 100, a dice, or any range you like in one click.
Everyone can watch the wheel spin and see the same number, so it's great for a class, a game night or a live stream. If you stream with OBS, the stream wheel puts the wheel right on your stream.
The wheel starts with 1 to 10. Click a preset like 1 - 100, or type your own range.
Click the wheel. It slows down and stops on one number.
Your number shows up in a popup. Press Remove if you don't want it picked again.
Open the Entries tab. Below the list you'll find the Number range box.
Click one to fill the wheel straight away:
Type the lowest number in Min and the highest in Max, then press Add numbers to the wheel. You can add up to 1,000 numbers.
The Step box lets you skip numbers. Leave it at 1 for every number. Here are a few examples:
| To get | Min | Max | Step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Even numbers (2, 4, 6…) | 2 | 20 | 2 |
| Count by 5s (5, 10, 15…) | 5 | 100 | 5 |
| A random year | 2000 | 2025 | 1 |
The same number can come up twice. If you need different numbers every time, press Remove in the popup after each spin. The number leaves the wheel, so it can't win again. The Results tab shows every number you've picked, in order.
Yes, and it happens more often than you'd think. For example, if you spin 1 to 10 five times, you'll see a number twice about 7 times out of 10:
| Numbers on the wheel | Spins | Chance of a repeat |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 6 (dice) | 3 | 44% |
| 1 to 10 | 5 | 70% |
| 1 to 100 | 10 | 37% |
So a repeat doesn't mean the wheel is broken. It's just how random numbers work. You can test the wheel yourself with our randomness audit.
A wheel with hundreds of numbers gets hard to read. Instead, open the wheel picker on the home page and make two wheels, each with the numbers 0 to 9. Press Spin all. The first wheel gives the first digit and the second gives the second, so you get any number from 00 to 99.
Give each ticket a number and spin. Press Remove after each draw so no ticket wins twice.
Pick a student by roll number, or spin 1 to 12 for a times-table question.
Lost your dice? Use the Dice preset. Need a 20-sided die? Set the range to 1 to 20.
Give each player a number and spin. Press Remove each time to get a fair playing order.
